the overnight train from Krakow to Prague was a lot worse than expected, given that we had a pretty comfortable overnight train from Amsterdam to Munich during our easter travels. we had pretty fun cochette mates though, a couple from Finland, a guy doing religion studies from UCSB and a polish guy. and dawen was the first to nod off...i spent the night half awake though, and we were all woken up rudely by the immigration officer who came onto our train in the middle of the night to check our passports.

arrived in Prague at seven in the morning, took a shower at our hostel, and then took a walk along the main shopping streets and the city center, before deciding that we were not up to handling the crowds and headed back to our lovely hostel for a 3 hour nap. now i understand why everyone else prefer Krakow to Prague...this place might be overrated, but cant pass a judgement until tomorrow when we join the free prague walking tour.

till then, i will search out some information about alexander dubcek here...
