because dawen was off to Bristol early in the morning for some sneaker business (again), i took a train down to London (we were supposed to meet in the afternoon but i went there earlier). i (re)visited Tate Modern,

walked along Thames River, watching school kids, joggers, couples, friends, colleagues...

to Borough market, where i bought an 'ultra' chocolate brownie and 3 golden apples for lunch.

from London Bridge tube station, i took the tube to...

Westminster tube station.

walked along the outside of the County Hall,

and took loads of pictures of the publicity for Dali's exhibition.

the London eye.

and then it was a walk across the Westminster Bridge, to the Big Ben.

'bollocks to blair!'

left to meet dawen, and met the strange London men that daphne talked about - 'hello!' 'bye!'

Picadilly Circus/Leicester Square...giant plug on the building.

waiting for someone to pick up the 'diamonds'...turned out we actually noticed the guy when we came out of the tube station but were unaware he was the very guy we were looking for.

walked about Covent Garden, lamented about my splitting ballet zebra print flats,

before we met dw's friend liang loong for dinner, who brought us to Lilywhites after.
(i also spent Thursday in London, our last, more on that when i've got time, going to move all of dawen's stuff up to Newcastle tomorrow morning.)
