we each got up at the crack of dawn (okay, not really, but around 5-6am) and met at Manchester, for some vintage-loving.

but nope, didn't get anything. i miss Amsterdam's Nine Streets - vintage heaven.

PoP Boutique had a really interesting concept though - there was a cafe and a barber within the shop.

our different ideas when it comes to shoe-shopping.

after our godawful lunch at Manchester's Chinatown, we made our way down to Old Trafford..Metrolink station. haha. he said he didn't mind but you can see the reluctance in the eyes of the Chelsea fan.

i could almost remember all their names, these players were from the era of our youth.

we didn't pay the 9.50 quid for the tour, because i'd rather spend it on clothes and food, guess i've outgrown the soccer fanaticism. we made several rounds in the Man Utd store...mingwei, i looked for the jersey, but it costs 43 pounds (approximately SGD129), so i didn't get it for you!

and then it was off to Liverpool, for just a few hours. we met the most helpful man there, who saw dawen with a map and immediately volunteered his help to bring us to our destination. he did so, and was rather disappointed that the shop that dawen was looking for had already closed down. but he made our trip to Liverpool, and our day, a really fantastic one. the friendly guy at Vodafone, the cashier at SuperDrug, all made our Liverpool trip a memorable one. sometimes, its really not about the sights, but the wonderful people.

and because my memory card says 'memory full' with just 15 photos, i have absolutely no pictures of Liverpool.

oh, to my friends who absolutely love Liverpool, ie yanjoo and wenrong, and to my dad, i didn't make it to Anfield. haha.
