i ordered something different, green-lipped New Zealand mussels baked with cheese, bacon and mushrooms.

and to finish off the heavy dinner, we shared pot of tea between the two of us.

after dinner, we had a round of table tennis, where dawen coached me and all was so easy for him that he could watch tv while playing with me. michelia then informed me about the lunar eclipse, which we went out to watch. so, we saw the moon come in between the earth and the sun (i hope i got this order right).
__________
and it was all dark and gloomy, the sun has gone into hiding again.

the Millennium Bridge

walking across the Millennium Bridge to the Baltic Museum.

inside the Baltic Museum, to look at some new exhibitions.

the Baltic gift shop.

we discovered an external terrace, from which we can look across to the city center.

the view, and a very sleepy me.

for lunch, we made a spontaneous decision to have Chinese buffet, nothing to exclaim about, pretty standard Chinese fare but dawen had his dim-sum craving satisfied and i was happy to eat some veggies other than broccoli.
i think my parents and family must have enjoyed the buffet spread back home, held in celebration of the good news. too bad the webcam/speakers weren't working too well and i didn't get to see everyone.
onto other issues. i'm trying to look for alternative accommodation. i've talked to my parents, dawen, jz, paulene, huiyu, as well as my friends in Newcastle about it. big thank you to erik for his advice, and michelle for offering to accompany me and passing me the form. will update accordingly if i do find a new place. in the mean time, take care and good luck with all the midterms!
