taken while dw was visiting a public loo. haha.

london, shopping. newcastle, zilch.

we also visited Slammin Kicks again, and the Taiwanese owner recognized us. well, a long exchange went between the owner and dawen on which dunks dawen wanted...while i watched a Brit try on really funky silver Nike sneakers.

we kept turning corners and discovering new shops...i didn't manage to take photos of the more interesting ones.

dw at Foot Patrol (whose online site he showed me back in Singapore), with his Obey t-shirt - which we thought might have gotten him into trouble at customs. about customs at Stansted, the checks were supposed to be random, but they picked out mainly Middle Eastern looking people...which we felt was quite unfair.

interesting concept inside Foot Patrol, with really friendly people who gave us directions to get to Dover Street Market.

sneakers display at Dover Street Market.

at first we couldn't find the sneakers, turned out they were hidden inside this huge display box.

which you had to open the panels.

something new eh? its like uncovering new treasures.

Japanese in the background getting really excited over a colourful 'summery' jacket, while dawen ponders in the foreground, over...

whether to get this pair of cute polka-dotted sneakers. given my infatuation with polka dots, i said yes...but the verdict's not out yet.
i got on the 4.30pm train back to Newcastle, arrived close to eight, got a sandwich from Subway and returned back to St. Mary's. skyped with my mom, checked my mail, and was pleasantly surprised to find two emails - one from my Sheares Hall RF Colin, and the other from Prof Barnard. if everything goes well, i should be able to meet Prof Barnard after my Easter break in London, and Colin after semester ends.
and, when i woke up on Tuesday morning, i realized that spring hasn't quite arrived in Newcastle yet. damn. :(
