as according to tradition, wenrong cancelled on me today. bah. we were supposed to have ice-cream at Island Creamery.

i forgot to bring my camera out, and my wonky camera phone had to suffice. the weather was a tad fickle today, but at least we had the sun for the most of the day. we went around Bugis and the Raffles Place in our attempt to settle the Britrail, Eurail and Eurostar tickets, gave ourselves a mighty headache, before deciding to just purchase the Britrail first.


we had lunch at a small coffee shop near Bugis.


dawen recommended chicken rice balls and the chilli was lip-numbing. i had a taste and admitted defeat (quite easy actually given that i can't quite take chilli).


him and his alma mater. he said those road safety kids standing at the traffic light reminded him of memories - them bullying pri 4 kids into taking up that ridiculous position and then deliberately jay-walking to piss them off.


after all the mind-boggling information we had to take in at VisitBritain & Travelex, we settled down for a Chicken Mushroom Pie at Piper's Pie. i would say $7.50 for a pie was a bit pricey, but at least it tasted good.

on other matters, my parents left me at home to do the dishes while they visited my uncle at the hospital. i hope he gets well soon, do keep him in your thoughts, prayers, anything. thank you. :)
